Rapper Wyclef Jean was recently shot in the hand in Haiti and according to latest reports, he has been released from the hospital
Haiti did not prove to be a lucky place for rapper Wyclef Jean, as he got shot there last night. According to reports, Wyclef Jean was shot in the hand at 11 p.m. last night in the city of Delmas, which is just outside Port-au-Prince.
The presidential elections are all set to take place in Haiti today, and Wyclef Jean is supporting fellow musician Michel Martelly. Wyclef Jean himself was in the running for the president of Haiti last year, but he called off the bid last September, since he did not qualify as candidates are supposed to live in Haiti for five consecutive years before they run for elections.
No further details of Wyclef Jean shooting could be provided but it has been learnt that he has been released from the hospital after getting treatment for his wounds.
